Our proposal for the City of Trades and Skills of Tamensourt - Marrakech, is an attempt to reinterpret the heritage of the city of Marrakech through buildings that bear a vision of the future. A city with a strong cultural identity, the architectural style of Marrakech, steeped in history, is an expression of the deep Moroccan south.
For this, the design is based on a set of architectural and urban principles implemented through a design where the interior and the exterior interpenetrate, the scales vary and where the user is one with the ‘architecture.
This project, therefore, draws its inspiration, particularly from the old Medina, the traditional architecture of the Riad and the colours of the tanning district of the city of Marrakech. The Medina is strongly characterized by these alleys and these squares. The Riad, is in the Arab tradition, an enclosed garden. This garden is divided into four flowerbeds which surround a fountain placed in the centre of the composition. Originally, the riad is an enclosed garden that respects a precise model, with four flower beds around a fountain, creating a patio which is a source of light and access to the rooms of the building.
